The downpour worsens. As the streets begin to flood, terrifying creatures emerge from the shadows: creatures that could only have come from R'lyeh.
T: Resign. You give up your search.
Forced - When doom is placed on this agenda: Increase the flood level of the lead investigator's location.

More and more unspeakable horrors rise out of the Miskatonic River. A strong current pulls you off your feet and carries you two blocks downstream. Grabbing a street lamp, you pull yourself to your feet as a tremor shakes the ground. Then another.
Each investigator who has not been eliminated immediately resigns.

Conflicting accounts place Tillinghast Esoterica in locations across Arkham.
T Investigators at your location spend 1 R clues, as a group: Draw the top card beneath your location. If it is an asset, take control of it.
Objective - When the round ends, if an investigator at Tillinghast Esoterica controls at least 1 Artifact asset, the investigators may advance. (Hint: Recover as many artifacts as possible!)

"I have worked too hard to see my plans undone," Randall seethes. Nightmarish shapes form around the antiquarian's head and shoulders as he grasps at you weakly. Pulse pounding, you run for the shop exit and barrel out into the street. When you turn to look, the shop door has vanished yet again.(→R1) (page 46).
Otherwise:
"You're too late!" Randall wheezes, clutching his side. "The destruction of Arkham is at hand and you are powerless to stop it." Nightmarish shapes form around the antiquarian's head and shoulders as tchotchkes and ancient tomes fly off the shelves and hang suspended mid-air. Your vision blurs, then you find yourself back on the street. The shop has vanished yet again.Each investigator earns 1 bonus experience. (→R2) (page 46).
